I was also a member of the UIC. Are you looking for some tutorials created by evilkry or andhelox? Until a few years ago there was also an IRC channel where it was possible to meet and talk with the major authors of the site

Have you tried checking the openRCE website for any articles you might be interested in? It's a site that lists old articles on reversing and various tools, including softice...
