Beginners playing with kernel drivers sounds like a blue screen of death in the works
. Try playing with the testsigning option in the BCD if you want to load it as an unsigned driver. Otherwise the keygenning aspect might very well be in usermode with just a single check in the driver. Sometimes modifying a flag in the registry is all that is needed. Keeping testsigning enabled is not the best idea, so the keygen is far better here.
