making a good patcher

Now doesn't this seem like a "perfect" issue for you to try with the search button and your favorite search engine on the net?

I just did that here and got 40 hits, several discussing various specific patchers. One of them was even by YOU discussing and linking to a patcher. Using "Patcher + cracking" found more than 10 pages of listings with Mr. google.

Before you cry "HELP ME" it would be a very useful learning experience if you actually tried to "HELP YOURSELF." Particularily on things like this, where the chances that SOMEBODY has discussed it before, are pretty much a dead certainty.

Learning where to look for and find answers will, in the long run, help you much more than giving you the answers. I recognize this does not satisfy the need for instant gratification, but that is not a very "useful" trait in any case.
