I've not had to set the MAC address for a while now, but in the 'old days' the MAC address was stored in EEPROM (flash memory) and was quite easy to write once the datasheet for the network chip was examined. It's likely that the principle's unchanged.

Hello all
I got the license and they use SERVER hostname Composite=xxxxxxxxx 28100 I never see Composite in the past Is it a kind of combination of mac adress, HD serial number, host name ... Any info are welcome thanks theGate
