I have been reading this long thread and found most of them are in ftp. Being dial up user i cannot access many ftp site but i have look at http sites. most of the books i found related to programming, communication, technical stuffs only. so i have one site that contains some non-tech list of book. i think it will reboot ur tech. mind .

The most effective way to dload from fixdown is to copy all of the links and put them in flashget or a similar dload manager and whichever one starts first...btw increase the timeout interval.
