If you have questions about why posts or threads get deleted, address them to me by PM. I'm the one who makes most of those decisions. Generally it is because, for whatever reason, they strike me as having no general useful purpose. It is a judgment call which I attempt to exercise with some forethought.

Here the subject was about a method of acquiring software utilized by many of our users and an inquiry about how the speed of that process might be improved. Such a question has, at least, the potential for a discussion of programming issues related to things which are generally discussed here.

Let me also repeat a comment I have posted several times before. Address your comments to the subject of the Post, not the poster. That also is my job.
